Where are Home Health Aide services available?

Home Health Aide services are available to anyone living in the 5 boroughs of New York City, including Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, Staten Island and the Bronx.

How much does this program cost? Is it free?

Medicaid pays for this program, and the services we provide are included in your coverage. This program is free for all members of Medicaid.

Can I switch from another home care agency?

Yes! Ideal Home Health provides top rated service in New York City. Contact us and we will assist you in transferring your care to our experienced team of home health aides and administrative representatives.

Who can I choose to be my caregiver?

If you sign up for CDPAP, you can choose a family member or friend to be your personal care assistant.

If you sign up for traditional home health aides, we will recommend a skilled aide that is trained in your specific care requirements.

Where are CDPAP services available?

CDPAP services are available to anyone living in the 5 boroughs of New York City, including Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, Staten Island and the Bronx. If you live outside of the 5 boroughs, call us to inquire. We often can accommodate those living in Westchester, Suffolk and Nassau county. We can also service most other New York State counties.

What are the requirements to apply as a Home Health Aide?

To apply as a home health aide, as part of our complete application process we request:

  • Home Health Aide certificate from a NYC DOH training facility
  • Proof of eligibility to work legally in the US (I-9 Form)
  • Your medical history
  • Completion of a background check
  • Completion of a drug screening

 

What are the requirements to apply as a CDPAP caregiver?

To apply as a CDPAP caregiver, you’re eligible if:

  • You’re over the age of 18
  • You’re authorized to legally work in the US (I-9)
  • You have a family member or friend you’d like to care for
